60 gm butter cubed

2 tablespoons icing sugar

Pinch salt

In a large mixing bowl combine flour, butter and salt. Crumble the butter with the flour between your fingers until it resembles breadcrumbs. Or bliz in a food processor until you have the same results

Mix through the sugar and milk until you have a sticky dough

Turn on to a floured surface and press down gently until your dough is 3 cm high and cut out as many scones as possible with a floured cutter.

Place in the baking tray and shape the extra bits of dough into a scone to place on tray too. Brush tops of the scones with a little milk. Bake for 15 -20 minutes or until the tops are golden brown
