🌶 Ingredients

1 kg lamb ribs

Sesame oil 

2 brown onions cut into wedges

Sauce

4 garlic cloves, crushed

1/3 cup hoisin sauce

2 tbsp soy sauce

2 tbsp brown sugar

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons sweet chilli sauce 

1 tsp Chinese five spice

1 heaped teaspoon of crushed ginger 

1/2 cup (125ml) Chinese rice wine (shaohsing)

2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar 

2 tablespoons sesame seeds 

Vegetables 

Fresh Thai Basil 

1 carrot sliced

1 small head broccoli 

1 cup beans chopped

1 zucchini sliced into wedges 

1 cup small button mushrooms in halves

Jasmine Rice to serve 

Step 1

Preheat oven to 200°C

Combine all of the above sauce ingredients in a large bowl. 

In a pressure cooker add 3 tablespoons sesame oil and saute the brown onion. Add the ribs and cook until browned.

Add the sauce to the pot and seal the pressure cooker bringing it to a steaming/hissing point for 10 minutes.

Step 2

Transfer ribs and onions to a large roasting pan. Leave the sauce in the pot.  Sprinkle over sesame seeds and place in the oven

Add the rest of the vegetables in with the reserved sauce. Simmer for 10-15 minutes. 

Put your rice on to cook (approx 10 mins)

Once your rice is cooked remove the ribs from the oven and spoon over the sauce. Sprinkle over fresh Thai Basil and serve with steamed rice

Don’t wear white as they are a very interactive meal!!
